My rear defroster doesn’t work. When I press it nothing happens, the button doesn’t stay in, no light turns on and the rear window doesn’t defrost, does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
Is there supposed to be a light that goes on indicating that it’s on? Is the button supposed to stay in when you press it like the fog lights or cc buttons do?
The defroster button is a toggle switch meaning that no it does not stay in when you push it. However, an orange light should come on, if the light isn’t coming on and your window isnt defrosting then your whole defroster is broken. First check your fuses to make sure none are blown. There are rear defroster fuses in the interior fuse box and in the engine fuse box, check them all. If none are blown it could be your integrated control unit. I fried my ICU when wiring up indiglo gauges. I got a new one installed at the local acura dealer. Mucho expensive! Hope it’s just a fuse! Let me know.

my AC is also not functioning, could this all be from the icu?
The ICU controls multiple things, i believe the a/c is also controlled by it. It sounds to me like you ICU is probably the cause of all your problems.

I checked and my fuses are fine. Is there a way that can I check to see if it is being caused by my ICU?
On my defroster there are some that work and some don’t is there a way to buy new ones or do i just have to live with it?

You can buy kits to repair broken lines if that’s what your talking about.
