i want your guys opinion on a rear fog light. because they sell them on jdmland.com. i’ve seen it on pretty much all hondas except gen2 integras.
i think that it’ll give the car even more of a jdm look to it. how about you guys.

im not sure what you are talking about. rear fog lights? where are they at the bumber? and how do they look like?
b18/16 your location is bogus. Fix it.
And I’d also like to know about this rear foglight to which you refer.
i think they’ll probably look nice on DAs, but the thing is, is it legal?
here’s a pic of it on a dc2
and here’s the link:
i’ve seen these alot and i’m still unsure of their purpose.
purpose of the rear fog light from another forum:
“The rear fog is nothing more than a “brake light” which stays on constantly located in the upper left position of your left rear tail light assembly. The purpose is merely to warn drivers behind you that you are out there somewhere in the thick fog. It is interesting that originally, these lights were located on both rear light assemblies; however, the problem was that they were being mistaken by other drivers as brake lights. . .”
They are also supposed to be located on a specific side of the car IIRC, dependant on which side of the road is driven on in that country. In the US it would be the left, to indicate to drivers where the left side of your car is for passing.
haaa haa…you funny nfulfx. what for?
i dont think i will like it. no purpose at all but to add wiegth
nfulfx is not being funny. fix your location field. it is stated in the rules.

its done
Killah - sell me one of them!!! I’ve been wanting to put one on my DB for quite some time. I think they look pretty cool. But as for the purpose:
The purpose of the rear foglight is exactly what it’s called, a rear foglight. It’s mainly used in the UK, Japan, and other countries that are extremely foggy.
yeah, makes sense, so it’s really more of a marker light for use in foggy weather.
Exactly. It actually serves a purpose for all of you that thought it was just some light on the back of the car. I may just have to pick one up for the sedan.
I think ill get one for the extremely thick fog down here in SoCal. :rimshot:
My buddies land rover has a switch for the lights, that will just about double the brightness of the rear parking lights. It’s funny cause when cars are behind you, it really lights them up red. But I think it’s for when your towing a trailer so all the bulbs have enough power so they are bright enough.
Hey guys, I’m bringing this thread back up since I just receivd my rear fog lights (although Im just going to be installing 1 - onthe left side, and the other one is going in my brother’s ek hatch.)
I have seen the picture of the black DB that has both of them, and that is all that I have as far as installing location. Does anybody have the actual measurements or guides to install these? I am going to attempt to install these tomorrow, so if you have any info please let me know. Thanks.

i’m getting my rear fogs too sometime this week and i’ll try to post some install stuff
Nice, I think I’m going to try my brothers ek hatch first, since a buddy of his gave him like a template for installation on that year civic. If anyone has any info or ha done it before let me know if the support has to be cut or something like that. Thanks…
