Mr. Integra = trendsetter.lol I’m currently looking for an accord rear lip or wings west add on, but I have a jdp front and ek sides. I put this plastic metal adhesive to put my sideskirts on.
hey blacknight can you post a write up of how u use that plastic metal stuff is it easier?
these are shitty pics that i have for now…excuse the Rio pink paint… car will be blue soon !
does any1 know where I can buy the type R rear lip from? so the muffler tip cut out is in the same spot
just wondering why is ur top headlight so white! mine is pinkish and i have the 90-91 taillights
so are you guys just using an epoxy adhesive to hold the lips up? I was thinking of using some screws myself.
i used screws on the side self tappers. and on the front there is clips for bracing the lip and you cant see them when the lip is installed. fasteners. should come with the lip. mine did on my 92 itr lip.
did any1 heat the rear lip to make it bend the same shape as the bumper or did u just screw it on?
What I did was to slice a pizza-shaped portion off the bottom part of the lip where the lip curves from the side to the back and molded the edges together. Prior to that the lip bulges at the corners. Cutting out that piece (one on both corners) prevented the bulge from forming.
slickkhan, What I did is tape off the skirt evenly across the bottom and a little above the skirt too. This will leave the area where the skirt hits the door exposed so you can put the sealer on it. I would sand that area first with a coarse grit too so the sealer will stick. I got my sealer from bumper to bumper and it’s professional stuff (SEM 39337). It comes it a twin tube and you have to have a special gun to put it in. I borrowed one from a guy I know at the body shop and it just mixes the 2 tubes. You load it up and just pull the trigger and put on a decent amount across the whole skirt. Then I used my finger with a plastic glove to spread it evenly across the whole skirt. Make sure that it doesn’t thin out while you’re spreading it. It is sandable so just sand it smooth once you’re done and gave it time to harden up. If I had a camera I would give you pics of the end result. Remove the tape when it seems semi hard, do not wait to long to remove it or it will harden up on the tape. If you do happen to thin it out in a certain area then just add some more later and sand it smooth.
thanks blk night
