Sup y’all happy New Year!
My left rear tail light was filling up with water and I took a look at a few other forum posts and learned that the gaskets go bad overtime (G2IC Post; TeamIntegra Post; YouTube Video).
Took mine out today and do think I have the same issue and plan on replacing the gaskets on both tail lights:
It looks like water was collecting on the top of the right corner of the gasket and slowly deteriorating it over time. Green mold seemed to start growing on the plastic piece of the tail light as well.
I am curious where the water should be draining when it runs down the roof gutters and over this section of the tail lights:
In addition to replacing the gaskets, is there another sealant I can apply anywhere that help to ensure proper drainage and prevent water from getting into the tail lights again?
Here are the gaskets I plan on ordering.
Many thanks for any help or suggestions y’all have!
