Rear Trailing Arm

Okay guys to make a long story short I have a 90 GS and the right rear trailing arm is bent. So I went to the junkyard and found a trailing arm from a rs integra that does not have abs. So I ended up buying it. Everything is swap over to my GS and my only concern is the abs sensor. Since my abs light is on and does not work in like a long time I plan on converting it to non abs sooner or later. My question is since I just swap over to non abs trailing arms can I just yank the abs line out or cut them to get rid of them on both rear brakes? The trailing arms with the non abs does not have the pre drilled holes in them. One thing I do know it tends to lock up and don’t feel like swapping the hubs out unless I really have too. Any suggestions.

Yes, you can just remove all the ABS crap. Unplug the ABS control module and you can get the light on your dash to go away as well.

So update. I didn’t take the abs out on the driver rear but the passenger abs I just zipped tie it to the LCA. I didn’t mention that the abs system has not been gutted out yet. So problem now is that when I’m driving it seems like the caliper does not release the brakes and makes a metal to metal sound embarassing to drive town now.Is it telling the system that the abs is not working? Or sound I just put back the original trailing arm back on with the abs and find another GS then swap it.

The issue you are describing does not sound ABS related at all to me. Sounds like a stuck caliper or possibly even something as simple as worn out brake pads.

Sorry for the late response. I figured out the problem. It was the disc shield rubbing to the rotors, so I just bent it a bit and the noise went away.
