Rear Wheel Bearing

Is the rear wheel bearings come as a whole hub piece? or can you just get the bearing?

How much was it and where u get it from?

that are in the $100 range, give or take (I got ripped on mine… stupid Canadian Tire – $198.00 taxes inc, CDN$).
U can probably get it for $125 give or take, USD, although I’m pulling this number from my ass. LOL.

It is REALLY easy to do though. You may need an impact screwdriver to get one of the bolts/screws off (mine was torqued so tight that my uncle had to bring his gun over). Otherwise, it’s a piece of cake.

My car’s rear end is really noisey when I drive. It just makes a lot of noise, I think my bearings are shot. Is there any way to determine exactly whether or not it is that or if it is something else???

yea…get up to speed and change lanes a few times.
when my right rear bearing went bad, it would go away on L turns and get louder on R turns.(or vice versa-cant remember)
i thought it was badly cupped tires at first, but getting louder turning one way, and going away the other way is a telltale sign of a bad wheel bearing.
you can tell which side its coming from just by listening while driving in a strait line, and the turning thing is just to be sure

Just jack up the rear of the car and see if you can freely spin both wheels (make sure you release parking brake). The rear wheels sould spin freely with hardly any resistance. If you’re having trouble doing so, the wheel bearing is bad.

I picked up the bearing and hub from the dealer for about $175CDN that’s with taxes in. Ya I heard it’s a breeze, I’ll most likely do it at work on saturday, when I have more time.
