rear wind sheild wiper

i took my rear wind sheild wiper off and need a cap for the hole i know some after market companys make them because i see tegs all over with out it

i believe u can get it online from acuraautomotiveparts.org check for an rs, i think the rs didn’t have a rear wiper.

There are no mass produced aftermarket parts made for that.

There is a plug “kit” you can buy from honda, originally from a Civic CX or VX. Search, the part numbers have been posted (a LONG time ago).

Most commonly people use a rubber grommet from the firewall. It fits perfectly and you already have one on the car. Personally I’d order a new one so you still have the one on your firewall.

There isn’t an Acura part for this (as far as I know) all G2’s came w/ a rear wiper.

There is also some guy making plugs which are plastic of some sort and work similar to the stock honda setup in that it’s multiple parts and screws together. But it looks more low profile. I think he’s on Honda-Tech selling them.

oh crap. i thought rs’ didnt’ have them. my bad. when i first got into g2’s like in the late 90s 2 of my friends had da’s, both rs models but both didn’t have the rear wiper, and they bought it like that. so we were all under the assumption that it was just like that. the cars were modified by the previous owners so now i guess thats what happened.

here’s a link to grommets. u just gotta measure it or pick the right one from the list.

Visit the local “pick-and-pull”, look for that rubber firewall grommet that Colin is talking about and just “pick-pull-and-pocket” that thing.

search rear wiper delete you find it. password jdm has them look under new da parts, home depot also has it use your imagination.

why bother going to a junkyard, paying the entree fee of like $2, plus the part (unless u pocket it)? when u can just get a new one for a few buck, and a lil for shipping?

dude i have a new one from the dealer unopened i can sell to you.

wow thanks for the response guys i think i will steal the one off the fire wall for now but hey how much do you want for the one you bought ill need to plug the firewall eventually

I removed mine this past weekend, i ended up finding a body plug that fit in place of that hole. Here’s a picture of it.

Just in case you can’t find it… here’s a guy in HT selling the exact same one.
