Pretty much what the title says. My timing belt broke and I thought maybe the valves bent (they don’t, there’s cuts in the pistons.) so I bought a new rebuilt head. Needed a valve job anyways. I have everything I need to put it back together but they don’t sell head bolts anywhere. I checked autozone advance auto, ebay (they only had them for the GSR). Where can I possibly get them without going to the dealer? or should I say screw it and use the old ones? any insight would be appreciated.
New OEM or upgrade to ARP/AEBS/GoldenEagle studs. Accept no others.
I’m just looking for OEM. It’s just my winter car. I found them at http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?searchType=global&N=0&Ntt=head%20bolts&submit=
but lists 2 different sizes. What ones fit the 11x188mm or the 11x158mm head bolts?
Just get the arp ones, this way you can reuse then if this problem ever happens again.
reuse what you have, you will be good.
+1 if its stock then just make sure they are seated properly and torqued down properly with a clicker and your fine , i dont trust those cheapy torque wrenches
