How much would it cost to rebuilt my tranny if i do it myself? My third gear grinds if i go over 4k rpms. My synchros are going bad. is it pretty easy to replace? I heard someone did it under 1 hour when the tranny was out of the car. Do you guys think it would be worth it to just get a used tranny for 300-400 bucks?
Probably best to replace the tranny. It’ll probably cost just as much if you have the synchros replaced…I could be wrong though.
