I have been having crank but no start issue. Battery checked out fine. I checked for spark at plugs and that checked out ok. Fuel filter, fuel pump and MFR were replaced recently so they should not be the issue especially since I drove the car after they were changed for couple of hundred miles. I decided to check for ECU code, and I am getting code “0”. I am getting solid CEL (Check Engine Light) that will not click off in second key position, similar to bad main fuel relay. So it looks like my ECU or my wiring harness might have gone bad.
It looks like Acura dealers don’t carry the ECU any longer. It would be ideal to borrow a working ECU to confirm that the culprit is the ECU…
So what would be a good place to pick up a new ECU? It’s for stock 92 RS with manual (OBD1). TIA.
I’d check your local facebook groups and this forum as well. You can open your ECU to see if there’s anything obvious that would need replaced and some people/shops may be able to repair them. Alternatively, a P75 out of a newer integra LS may be easier to come by. search terms would be P75 Manual OBD1 Hope this helps!
A follow up question. I pulled the ECU out and opened it up, but I couldn’t see anything visibly wrong with my ECU. Is there a way to check that the ECU is bad? I am trying to avoid getting a new ECU and find out that the no start issue is not with ECU, but something else. I did the bypass with paper clip to check code and I did get a “0”.
I decided to chance it, and ended up picking up a stock ECU. ECU was definitey the culprit. I can hear the fuel pump prime at ON position, and car starts up fine. Finally my Teg is up and running.
