As some of you may know, my last project was stolen recently.
This was my RHD db that I had been working on for the past 5 years… I recently moved to Houston Tx and with in just a couple of months living here it got stolen. The car was never found and no parts have surfaced… I still look everyday.
Yesterday I was looking around on CL just seeing what was out there when I came across this
Guy was asking 1500 and took 1300 for it last night. Needs a valve cover gasket and some TLC but over all its a great car. IDK if im going to go all out on this one, but some proper wheels and tasteful mods are definitely in the works. Still a little on the fence about building another Honda, but I feel like this will do for now. Wish me luck! and its good to be back…

Blew the LS up that was in it. Don’t worry it went out with a bang… Piston out of the front and the back. 140 for 5min strait will do that to an ls lol… So I found this dope little JDM spot
They had b16s, GSR,Type R, K20, anything JDM you could think of…
I came across a JDM b20b with a short mani… I have been reading that the short intake manifolds mean high compression! super excited to finish this swap!
Really glad to see that you stuck around. As much as it sucks, don’t let some jackasses steal your passion and hobby from you. Do what you can to be more cautious this time around, and keep at it. Fuck the theives.
thanks for the support guys. Im looking into buying a wheel boot for this one… like the ones they use when you have too many parking tickets. I feel with that on it would be really tough to take/tow it. Along with kill switches and alarms… Part of me is tempted to put GPS and nothing else to see if the same guys come back for this one. May lead me back to my baby. Soo much time went into that last one. Almost crushed me. But im slowly buy surely getting back on the horse. It feels good to be back!
Sorry to hear that man. Thats def rough. I had a db stolen back in 2006. It was my first db too! I live in california. Had a jdm b16 in it and super rare rota rims. Live a couple hours north of sac. Was stolen while i was at a pool parlor watching a monday night football game. Found it two days later in a back alleyway in sacramento. Gotta get back into though man if its what you love. I did. Found another db a little over a year ago and its my baby lol. Glad to hear you got a killer deal on that. Its a GS just like mine. You even got the GS wing on there! lol Good luck on the build man!
My 93 LS was stolen and was recovered 3 weeks later. The thieves were caught breaking into a impound lot that had a few hondas. Anyways, I installed a pager alarm with a siren under the hood and inside the cabin, backup battery and a switch that alarms if the hood is opened from crutchfield.com. Saved my car at least once already. Would be thief was chased away in a 90-93 accord with a mossberg shotgun.
you know it crossed my mind, but the last one was soo much work and time dedicated to building it… If I was to go the RHD route again I think I would just bring one over. in a few years they will be able to be brought over without safety or emissions inspection. Makes it really easy when you are trying to legalize a car. Also they wont have to be on the import list for the year either. They will be considered a collectors car at that point.
That alarm sounds interesting. Ill have to look into it.
In an update. Picked up a b20 the other day! stay tuned for progress.
Hell yea bro I just went threw this I paid 600$ to get it ou of impound dam snow emergency in mn lol so it got Impounded I got it back replaced all the interior and exhaust they stole not the same I honetly would of rather had I gone I spent a lot of money just repairing it back to normal now I lost a lil love for my daily kinda sad but ohh well still got the built da:)
