I have a question. I saw a FS post in a forum in Toronto, and somebody was selling a red OEM looking front seat with a GSR passenger seat. The post has since been removed or deleted and I can no longer find it.
I consider myself fairly knowledgable when it comes to the DA, and have many rare accessories but have never come across this at all.
We’ve all seen custom leather wrap jobs, but this was cloth, and the material looked to be that of an OEM quality/pattern.
It was not the red fabric from the CB Accord.
The fabric and stitching looked like it was OEM… nothing like the Recaro or any other aftermarket seats.
Does anybody know of this? or know perhaps who it was that purchased this?
I want to know if these seats actually exist or were the work of someone out there.
most likely the guy had his OEM seats reupholstered to be red that would be my best bet. I’ve seen people around here do black and blue black and white and red and black.
Likely a Canadian Integra Type R seat that was various years OEM red.
Not Type R for sure. It was cloth, and the DC Tegs and the DA seats look much different.
It was a DA seat.
Reupholstered is likely to be the case.

And what do you think an ITR seat is made from, snake skin? Although I will give you the design is much different.
dc and da seats look pretty similar to me. i’m thinking canadian itr
I found photos of the seats. They really do look like OEM, and NOT like DA seats and definitely not snakeskin. I’ll post pics.
Hmmmm…
Never saw those before and they defiantly look very similar to G2 seats. Sure they have not been dyed or painted? Looks like red paint on the black plastic side pannel in the picture? Do the mounts line up with G2 seat mounts?

I agree, it definitely looks fabric painted imho, dyed would be a more permanenet fix if done properly…you can see the black coming through on the front where your legs would bend downward…as well as the overspray next to the lever. I painted my blue carpet black and after a year it started to show blue again from multiple vaccums…I assume same is happening here with sitting being the wear culprit.
I just contacted the poster. It is fabric dye. The way the fabric was fading, how you can see the different color underneath, it really looked like an OEM seat to me because I personally haven’t seen any mods like this. I can now identify imperfections thanks to cdscivic.
Well, the mystery has been solved.
Too bad. It would’ve been neat if this were some custom job done through Honda and was the only one made.

Agreed!
But the poster before me called it. I just quoted and pointed out the fabric imperfections.
The red dyed seat looks to be the other gsr seat as you can see the lines. What a waste of a rare cloth lol.
