Redline Track Events open track day Jan 10-11

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to let you know that our upcoming event at Big Willow on January 10-11th has plenty of openings left. We are scheduled to run from 9am-dusk on Saturday and Sunday. Cost for one day is $130 or if you want to run both days, the cost is $230.

More information can be found at our website:

www.RedlineTrackEvents.com

You can register on our site and pay with PayPal. We expect many people to sign up during this last week of registration, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible. If you have never been to one of our open track days before we suggest you come on out. We have been building a reputation over the last 2 years for organizing safe and well run open track events. Each car will receive at least 2 hours of track time and we offer instruction ($30).

We hope to see you out at the track!

I’ve been to a couple of redline track events and they’re a lot of fun. I can’t wait to go again. I don’t know if I would recommend the Big Willow track to other g2ic’ers though. It’s a really fast track and most of our cars are underpowered for it(in my opinion). I like Streets of Willow or Buttonwillow a lot better.

ya i was thinking about it but for my first time and that much money, i think the next one at streets would be more worth my while. and cheaper too?

big willow is NOT for the unexperienced. The big right sweeper, you would be upwards of 110-120mph and it is VERY easy to lose it at that speed.

Turn 8 and 9 are definitely pretty intimidating…but nothing that cant be dealt with after some practice and some instruction. Just a general rule of thumb is that you should never go 100% the first session of the day. Especially if you have never been on a particular track before. Take the morning session to learn the track and also study the proper racing line. Then build up speed as the day progresses and ask for advice or ride-alongs with other people to learn even more.

Streets of Willow wil be $100 for the day in February.

Nikolas

That’s some good advice Nikolas. I think I’ve learned the most from riding with people who know the track.

Who here is going, I’ll ride with someone and hang out.

If I get my car aligned by then, I might be interested in going to the Feb Streets event.

yeah, if the new gs-r is up and running by then, i would like to try my luck again in feb!

February sounds like an even we should plan  I won’t be driving, but we should go and hang out with the drivers.

What do you all think?

Luis, what do you mean “If the new gs-r is up and running by then”? What’s wrong with it? Sounds like you got a lemon there, I’ll take it off your hands for $1500.

you wish! i just need to get that compensator arm changed and also the front passanger axle, and a head gasket. and it’ll be ready for action!!! simple maintenance stuff…oh yeah and i need wheels and tires.

i love the teins though:p

p.s. you can borrow that black helmet i have duy!

What’s wrong with the head gasket or are you just itching to put some sort of Mugen or SPOON part on your geezer?

I wouldn’t put my ass into that snowmobile helmet let alone my head

dont be a bish, you know you would wear it!

it’s just leaking a little tiny bit of oil, so i want to get that fixed.

and about the spoon and mugen stuff…i’ll never tell!

Just you wait until I get my doh-mai-d-tech ready

i have bad luck at streets and my car is in no shape to be running at the track so ill go and watch you guys in action

I think we both have bad luck at that track Nic. Not to mention Luis.
Do they have a kart track up there? If so, you should bring it up. Last time I ran at Big Willow, there was nobody on the Streets track all day and then some guy showed up and drove around it in a kart.

i guess WSIR doesnt like DA’s, all 3 of us had problems that day:(
it would be fun to run at streets with the kart but i need to change my gearing, i was topping out on the straight at moran yesterday and the front straight is only 860 feet. they have kart races at streets before and they said its like a nascar race cuz its all about drafting. we were suppose to run there for practice two months ago but decided to go to buttonwillow instead.

hey guys, i didn’t have any problems that day! it was awesome cuz there were no drifters or many other people out on the track when i got to go out… of course, the other time that there were drifters though…
