relocated my battery, now starter wont turn.

So i relocated my battery to the rear,
problem now is that the starter wont turn.
Seems as if there is too much resistance or the battery isnt powering it enough.

I used 2 gauge wire from home depot, about 15 feet of it, from front to rear.
I used the stock wires as ground in the back of the car, and the stock hot(red wires) wires in the engine bay to connect to the battery fuse and starter.

what can it be?
is the 2 gauge wire too thick?
its a wire made for houses, so the wires are thick and hard to bend.

is it a bad ground?
everything works with the key on the on position, but in the start postion, the start just wont turn.

thanks

ground your transmission back to he chassis. and your ground should be 2guage aswell.
