Remove paint from interior/Remove gunk under emblems?

2 Questions, if anyone has any tips, I would appreciate it:

  1. I painted the small indented area around the foglight/hazard buttons on my dash with auto paint, and want to remove it now. What is the best way?

  2. I had an aftermarket “H” emblem on my hood, and got tired of that too, but I still have glue residue left, can anyone recommend a way to take that off? I checked the Teg Tips, but I don’t want to use rubbing alcohol on my paint.

Thanks in Advance-

Amrit

AS FOR THE EMBLEMS…I USED NAIL POLISH REMOVER TO TAKE OFF THE GLUE BEFORE I PUT THE ‘HONDA’ EMBLEM ON. IF U HAVE TOO KINDA SCRAPE IT OFF WITH A CREDIT CARD…TRY NOT TO SCRATCH IT THOUGH…AND IF U DO JUST WAX THEM OFF. HOPE THIS HELPS

Amrit - for the emblems try WD-40. It didn’t strip my paint and made the glue residue very easy to take off.

As for removing the area around the dash - do you have a Helms CD? Let me know cause I can send you the pertinent info if it’s in there.

Nate.

Thanks guys.

Nate: I do have the Helms CD (I actually got it off you at the HIN meet during august). Where abouts is it in there? I guess I’m just too lazy to look. Thanks again.

As for the paint on the dash you said you used automotive paint? Most auto paints are Lacquer based so you’ll need some Lacquer Thinner but Lacquer Thinner tends to dessolve some plastics some try it some were you won’t see it, and good luck

Thanks guys.
