Dried mine out and they look SICK:rockon:
So I tried using bleach with no results then i tried a couple various degreasers. It helped a bit but too much pain. I went down to ace and bought the small container of castrol super clean. About 5 minutes of of swishing they were clean. I recommend castrol, save yourself the headache. its only 5 dollars. The before and afters are for reference of what it looked like before. I bought a set of 90-91 tails and those are the ones i did.

im new to having a g2integra im a EF guy usually… THIS TIP IS AWSOME! CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE! i noticed one of my tailr was pink and the other was more white but thought the old owner swapped one… THANKS FOR THE TIP GUYS!
wow great tip. i just got some super clean so hopefully it doesnt start to rain to bad. even if it does rain im still gonna do it. but i have some surface cracks on the outside of the lights. im not sure how they got there but they have been getting worse over time. is there any way to sand them down to kinda hide them? and my lights get condensation in them everytime it rains. ive tryed to resilicone it but it doesnt seem to help.
ok i cleared out my tail lights and it looks amazing. very easy to do with that super clean. i had alittle trouble getting them off even though i thought it would be easy since its the db1. i had to use alittle bleach to get some of the top lines out of the passenger side light. i used a blow dryer for about 40 minutes on each light and it dryed them perfectly. i didnt take any before pictures but i will take some after pictures tomorrow, im sure everyone knows what they looked like before. they do have some cracks on the outside but they’re not as noticeable now that i cleared them out. great teg tip, great idea, very easy and very good results.
Works amazing! Just pour in, swoosh around and that’s it. Takes about 15 minutes to do both of them. Thx for the tip!
Did mine today! Easy Easy. A caveman can do it!
so u used the method to do it onto ur white/yellow/red tail lights? it’s confusing cuz u say u did it to 90-91 tail lights and the before pics u show the 92-93 tail lights. i wanna know cuz i’ve got 92-93 tail lights, wonder wat would happen if i tried it on mines…

ok i did this trick but there is still pink in some areas any tips?
I know when I did mine on my old DA I didn’t just let it sit. I rocked them around a little and sloshes the water around from side to side until I could see that all the pink was gone. Just try it again and make sure you slosh the water around that way it agitated the chemicals. I remember between my 2 taillights I used a whole spray bottle of the super clean, so don’t be scarce with it.
I just recently did mine and they turned out good. Got rid of the pink lines but I sloshed the liquid around, also I found that a little hot water with it helped too. I think I over did mine though because it also got rid of the white lines as well. I don’t think mine turned out bad though. I kinda like the way it looks, anything was better than pink lines. I use Castrol Super Clean for alot of stuff as well as lenses. I will post pics later today of my tails after, I forgot to take some of them before though.
ill try once more
Muchas gracias de south florida!
Thank you never would have thought it would have been so easy.
Bleach by itself does not work at all!
However…purple power, bleach and hot water worked amazing!
DO NOT…Let purple power, bleach, and water sit for longer than 5 min…After I did the driver side light I though it looked like the lines had sort of yellowed…but with only doing one side I was not too sure. I did my other light this weekend and it turned out perfectly white. Night and day difference from the other one
With the first light I let it sit for over 20min…with the second I only let it sit 5 min. So FYI to pay attention unless you want one to turn out yellow looking.
