So out of curiosity I wanted to see what my car would look like wingless so I attempted to remove it. Now the two bolts on each side are easy and I got those off but I’m not sure how to get the middle one off. There is a plastic covering I’m guessing over a bolt and I tried going at it with my ratchet but the thing won’t budge. Am I doing something wrong or is it just stuck on there from being so old.
Rusted wing bolts are notorious. I’d PB Blast it a few times and pray that it breaks loose… otherwise it may break, literally.
Worst case scenario you snap the stud. Hit it with pb blaster and and wrench it until something happens.
The middle one is not a threaded bolt, it’s made like that to put a wrench on it to turn it to the right spot for you to grab and squeeze the plastic tabs to pull it through
