Removing Guage Cluster

What is the easiest way to remove a guage cluster. The main problem I’m having is that the speedometer cable has no slack. Thanks for the help peoples!

Find somebody with small arms. I was able to do mine BARELY. I scraped up my forearm digging around in there. After getting it off the first time, the next times get easier for some reason.

pull the “sheath” which is on the cable out of the tranny. this gives you a lot more slack. You can then plug the cable into the cluster, put the cluster back in, then put the “sheath” back into the tranny.

Scrapin’tegra must have removed his cluster before ! The best way is to pull the speedo cable out of the tranny. It is at the back side of the tranny on top. You will have to remove your intake pipe to get to it. Pull the dust bushing up and then use neddle nose pliers to pull the pin out then the cable pulls out! The only fun part is getting the pin back in !
