im trying to take out my interior door panels so i can fix my window and stuff. i can get all the clips and things out exept for its still attached along the bottom part of the window. does anyone know how to get it off all the way? i dont want to risk breaking any clips. pics are good
at the top of the door panel it is just “resting” on the door frame. If you can pivot the whole panel on that top edge then it should just pop off. I quoted resting cause its a tight fir and it does take some lovin to get it off. I usually just give the very bottom of the panel a nice couple of pops with my palm straight up and it comes off. Good Luck and quadruple quadruple check for clips.
exactly pull the bottom out and hit it, it makes it a little easier with the windows down
yea i found it. there are 3 clips holing it on. now i need to move my powered window assembaly to the b pillar about 4mm. is that easy? i know its just those 4 bolts. but i need a deep 12mm
u don’t need to remove ur power window assembly. just take ur panel, dig in there with ur hand/arm… and push up near where those clips are… while u also push the panel up with ur other hand… that provides more pressure n force near the clips to help break them loose cuz they dig into the paint/metal.
i think i confused you, i needed to remove the int. door panel so i could get to the powered steering assembaly so i could move it back against the b pillar about 4 mm because there is a small gap.
now u are talking about power steering? huh? lol.
ok… i think maybe u need to move the door panel (or the window and related parts) farther towards the b-pillar a lil bit?
if so, its easier to remove the door panel then get to work. if u already did that then great. no matter what tho, when messing around with actual window to get it aligned properly, it takes a lot of trial and error.
what!? no i ment powered windows. sorry im recovering from a hangover.
ok ok. yea man. if u are just having issues adjusting the window, u’ll need to play with it. but if u have a gap in the rear of the window against where the b-pillar is… then i suggest u play with the front of the window, and angle that end upwards.
