removing silicone from headlights

I bought some JDM one pieces and the guy I bought them from took them apart to remove the glare guards and he went a little crazy with the silicone when he sealed them back up. What can I use to remove all the silicone that wont damage the plasctic on the headlights at all? Ive tried heating it up and scraping it off but no matter what I cant get it all off.

If you cant see it dont worry. A razor should take it off though if you want it off really bad.

When the hood is down you cant see it but when its popped it looks like shit. I tried a razor blade also but couldnt help but scratch them up when doing it.

When I took my headlights apart I used Shellite to dissolve the silicon residue. If it’s just on the surface of the headlights you’ll get it off with a rag easily. I’m pretty sure you can get Shellite from any Shell gas station. It will remove just about anything. I’ve used it a fair bit and it’s good stuff.
