So I had a bad headgasket and in the process of removing the a1 head a buddy offered me a perfect clean b1 head with matching intake manifold. Since my head was full of burnt oil and just overall dirty I accepted his offer. So the b1 head and intake manifold went on and I used my a1 cams. Before this endeavor, the motor ran fine on all four cylinders. Now, I have 180 psi in cylinders 2&3 and 60 and 90 psi on 1&4. Timing is dead on. Could bad valve lash and the small difference in cams cause this issue? Also the b1 head was checked thoroughly before instal for warp and bad valves. Any help is appreciated!
Only difrence is cams and intake between a1 and b1 I just recently read idk if that helps any
i believe the intake cam is only different. lower lift on the a1. this shouldn’t cause low comp in two paired cylinders. hmmm. definitely start by checking lash. if that checks out, it’s time for a leakdown test
