Smelled something burning and then the fan would barely run. All speeds. Luckily I bought a blower back in 2017 when I thought it was the problem (turns out it was a crappy fix that a mechanic did to my AC).
The helms does an okay job of telling you what you had to remove, but it still needed some common sense. Even though there’s no clearance to remove the fan screws, you don’t have to totally remove the assembly to replace the fan itself. New fan works great and is quieter too !

Reused old gasket after I cleaned it and soaked it in some rubber restorer.
New blower installed.
