Replacement Light Bulbs in Rear Defrost Switch

The “activated light” on my rear defrost switch has stop lighting up. I am assuming that it is just the bulb not working. I know how to get the whole switch out, but can’t figure out how to get the bulb I want…I can see the bulb that lights up the switch, but the bulb that lights up when the switch is activated (top bulb) is behind a black shield of sorts. When trying to reach the bulb from the back, there is a circuit board with the lower switch light attached which I can’t figure out how to remove.

There should only be one bulb on the side of the switch. Some of the switches have 2 bulbs on the side, one is to light the switch when it is in use and the other is a spare.

Do I just rip it out? Is there some special tool I need to pull the bulbs out??
Thanks.

wrong, sry :stuck_out_tongue:

1 is to light the symbol and the other is to light up the bar at the top when u turn the switch on

the bulbs are the little white things on the side of the switch… u take them out with a flathead screwdriver just as you would a screw… once uve loosened it you should just be able to pop it right out

I’ll eat crow on this one. If you need a replacement switch let me know I have about 10 in the garage.

<3

is there a way that i can get on of those, i think that my switchis bad because it dont even light up, and plus my rear defroster dont even work, and i have checked all fuses.

i would say go to the wreckers and see what u can find… if you cant find anything there then ull have to go to honda to get it :stuck_out_tongue:
