Replacing my clutch, question about pressure plate

I have right now installed a pressure plate made by ACT and a 4 puck bronze disc. The clutch seems like it’s fading away so I’m thinking of replacing it soon. The question is, should I replace just the disc or should I get a new pressure plate too? Also, if anybody knows where to get the clutch at good price let me know. Thanks!

c’mon people, need a little help here please!

it really depends. typically “puck” style clutch disks don’t last as long as normal disks. so, that means that the disk may wear out before the pressure plate will. Its sorta up to you whether you want to replace just one or both. how old the pressure plate is may give you a better idea of whether it should be replaced or not.

BOTH! With how much labor is involved in doing a clutch, why waste your time w/ just doing the disc and not the pressure plate. You won’t be happy if your pressure plate goes 2 weeks later after your clutch is installed. Also, a weak pressure plate can lead to a weak clutch. Just do em both.
