replacing Rear small window

I was wondering how hard or expensive to replace this window? Someone tried to steal my new hooptee last night and broke the window in the process?

If you buy the glass a tube of urathane, and an adheision promotor you can do it yourself.

I need to find a window first…but off hand where can i get this stuff from? home depot or lowes?

I would look at an autoparts store. The ones we have here usually have an autobody supply section.

No worries. Be sure to clean the old stuff off with a razor blade but don’t take it right to the paint. Leave a very thin layer of it for your guide and adheision promotor. If you nick the paint with the blade seal it with touch up paint or nail polish.

I had the ame stuff happen to me and i was about $200 to get it instaled.

I pulled the glass today and it was EASY!!! i used a 3.00 knife from home depot and some oil…it cost me a total of 24.00

So where can i find the stuff to seal the window up?

  1. Take off the molding “outside and in”
  2. Get some oil or brake fluid
  3. I used a large kitchen knife from ikea and a rubber hammer.
  4. Apply the oil or brake fluid around the edges or the area where you wanna start.
  5. Take the knife and start cutting the rubber or whatever its called that holds the glass in.

This only took me 30 min because i had a really large and sharp knife…now i gotta install the new one today.

You use urathane to put the window in and if you used oil on it you better clean it with wax and grease remover before you apply the adheision promotor otherwise you could leave yourself in a world of hurt.
