Replacing stock motor/transmission mounts

As everyone knows the local auto parts stores don’t carry all four of them. In my case actually they only have two of the ones I need as my rear transmission mount is in pretty good shape. I got two questions though…

!. Is there a significant difference between the 92 mounts (mine is a 92) and the 90-91 mounts? A friend of mine has the driver’s side motor mount but it’s from a 91, I hadn’t compared the two yet but I can’t think of any reason why they would be that different. I did a search on mounts and didn’t find anything about whether they where different or if there was a method around so I could use them.
Also, yes I have seen that the part numbers are different… wasn’t sure why that’s the case though other than the possible minor differences.

  1. Where can I get ahold of that passenger’s side transmission mount? I looked at the local salvage yards and had no luck. In my search on here and clubteg and teamteg I came across a few places but if I remember correctly the mounts where for racing… I really just want the stock or equivalent motor/transmission mounts. Any help would be appreciated.

The drivers side mount is not interchangeable between 90-91 and 92-93. All the others are the same. The difference is in the chassis so order it for whatever year you have (92-93), the 90-91 will not work.

As rollinmyda says, the mounts are different enough to NOT interchange.

The driver mount is still available from Acura, but for the cost you could spend a few dollars more and get a better, aftermarket setup.

As far as where to find OE replacement mounts… AutoZone/Napa/Oreiley… one of them should be able to fix you up.

Damn lol cause the only one he had was the drivers mount from a 91. At least I waited to buy it though lol

As far as O’Reiley/AutoZone/Advanced auto goes they don’t show a listing for the passenger side tranny mount. I’ve got a couple other places to check locally but I have a feeling that one mount’s gunna be a toughy.
