A few days ago my gf crashed my integra. and now i need to replace the rad support on it. but its my first time doing it and i dont have the money to take it to a shop so i need to do it my self. so i was just wondering if any one has a write up on how to do this. or if you got any tips so i dont mess anything up.
Well first off you would have to disassemble the front body panels, then you unbolt everything that you can from the radiator support, the next thing you do is get a spot-weld cutting bit and cut every single spot weld out. I dont remember the exact number on my friends crx that we did but i think it was 60 even something like that. After that it should just pull right off then you grind down all the old spot weld material off the frame, and spray all the bare metal with weld through primer, and drill the appropriate holes in the new rad support depending on what kind of spot welder you have. Weld it all up and put the car back together and it should be done. O and sorry if the sentences are kind of jumbled together, its been a long day. I forgot to mention you could just weld it in a couple areas and bolt the rest together, the first way is just the proper way.
