I have a crack in my windshield and was wondering has anyone replaced their windshield before? is it wise to buy new rubber moldings and clips while replacing the windshield?
Be a good idea to get the rubber moulding on the top. also you can easily break the tabs/clips holding down the metal mouldings on the sides. there’s a special tool to release them. or you could just pull lol.
replace the moldings the top can only be done with the window out (well with the oem molding) I have done the front an both side windows with new oem moldings back is next the front will cost about 150 for everthing then you are good for 15 plus years
Ok sounds good, just so i can be sure what all parts would you order? It looks like i’ll be having a window place install the window. I wonder will they take the time to replace the rubbers and clips and such? Lowest price I seen to get this done is $188, but I don’t know what brand of windshield it would be.
lucky me if one of my pexiglass windows get busted i just have to drill out the rivets and rivet a new window which my local ace hardware has the blueprints to cut me a new window with 1 phone call
heres a little video of some idiots trying to take out a windshield.

Bringing up my thread again as I’m soon getting the windshield replaced. So again, it’s wise to get all the side clips near the moldings because they will break? if they break and not replace them will this make leaks?
If you buy the side trim I think it comes with all the clips not to sure tho but i know it has some
So apparently HondaPartsUnlimited doesn’t sell Acura parts anymore?
Anyway, when ordering Honda stuff, a number with an outline means all of the parts in that outline are included. So part 6 comes with 10, 11 and 12 and part 8 includes parts 10, 12 and 13.
We have a site sponsor now who sells Acura parts, the part numbers for the parts that darussianone mentioned in a post above (with a link that doesn’t work right?) are:
2: 73125-SK7-000
3: 73126-SK7-000
6: 73150-SK7-013
7: 73151-SK7-023
8: 73160-SK7-013
As you can see in the picture (no number) you can’t order those side pieces without the clips, so either the shop will use them or they won’t but you don’t have a choice in getting them if you order new side trim from Acura.
