my cars been having the problem with the bouncing revs, so i replaced my ignitor (control mod). she wouldnt bounce anymore but from 0-1500 rpm would run very rough. so i unplugged the negative on the batt for bout 15-20 mins. now it runs crappy throughout. please tell me i didnt bend valves!
Have you checkes your timing, as well as your rotor. Make sure the bolt was replaced in the rotor otherwise it may have truned on you causing it to fire wrong. Try loosening the 3 bolts that hold the distributor on and start the car and slowly rotate the distributor left to right and see if it smooths out for ya.
Have you checked your 02 sensor? What about your PCV valve? That could probably be a reason. What about the timing and have you done a tune-up recently? If not I would. That should fix your problem.
Another thing to check is your vacuum hoses. ARe they cracked or do they look like they could be leaking? That is a common reason for the irradic idle.
As for resetting the ECU, you should pull the ECU fuse, not just the battery terminals. The proper way is in the teg tips, well everything is pretty much in the teg tips. Try that and it should fix your prob.

still havent found it yet. i can hear a really loud hissing noise though. havent really been driving it a lot lately soo i cant say ive put a lot of work into it. the hissing seems to be coming from underneath the im on the driver’s side.
