Hey guys its been awhile since i last worked on my DA. I kid you not it had to have been about 4 yrs ago. The car had been a great burden to my wallet so i parked it at my parents house until further notice. The time has finally came. its spent 2 yrs outside and 2 year inside. Id like to start cleaning up the engine bay first, then work on the interior. If you Guys have any suggestions would be appreciative. the goal is to get it back clean /newish again.
The carbon fiber parts no longer have that “solar panel” look. its very dull thanks to floridas sun. During the hurricane season a strong wind blew off my FAL hatch glass that forced my parents to duck tape it to the car :bawl: . I took a next day flight down and put it in my parents garage lol But i have to do something about that, id love some suggestions on restoring the luster carbon fiber.
Damn man, four years haha. I didn’t work on mine for a winter and thought that was a long time. I’m doing a complete restoration now. Good luck with your new build!
an-r compact header with merge collector. I forgot the name of the guy that made it but this was one of the first protoypes. it made power when people said it wouldnt. It was so long ago but I had dynos comparing it to the ever popular back in the days jdm itr 4-1 header
any tips? haha
looks like an an-r header…
i have the same one, but mine’s cracked :(
its a common problem with theses header cause of the type of steel he was using. im pretty sure i have cracks in mine now.
I had a vitara turbo sohc running low 11. it made 350whp with just $1500 into it, it was addicting! but now its time to go back to my baby. my wallet sure as hell not going to like this new project. any tips for restoration?
That’s awesome man! and that header is pretty cool. Hmm tips…well, what I’m doing is new paint inside and out, new bushings, semi-tucked engine bay, clean/paint motor, etc. But what you do depends on what you want, really.
