returning to g2ic after 8 years away i finally finished my integra lots of pics

ok so in early spring of 2003 i decided to take apart my integra for a month and do some body mods and upgrades. Long story short the car sat for 8 years after that being used as a shelf in the garage. I finally dug her out and finished her. Hope you like it. it still has a lot of work to be done but i can drive her again! i shaved everything except the side moldings which i painted jet black. thanks for looking and please dont hate on the bumper man, it was 8 years ago ha ha…

Monster truckin it

Looks great. Glad you finished the car instead of letting it sit forever. boring seeing 92 bumpers all the time so seeing a kit is kinda nice. needs a nice drop to finish the look.

needs a drop and one pieces

i am still a bit uncertain if i will drop it more than an inch or two. my driveway is a mile long and full of deap ass craters. I know it would finish the look but we shall see. I have a factory style wing with led light to install as well. and most likely the factory mirrors again. i know im gunna catch a lot of crap for the mods i have done because they were cool mods 8 years ago. now its not cool, then again i am 31 years old and don’t give two craps whats cool anyway. i’m an old fart! where i come from there are no DA’s around except a few rust buckets and getto ass destroyed ones with dollar store spray can paint jobs.

one pieces will come after the new exhaust. i always wanted to buy one pieces so bad. How much do they go for now? back 8 years ago they were like $300 or something.

they range from 150-300 depending on seller. brand new sets go for 450+ i believe.

Good for you man, build your car for what makes you happy:up:

Im not to big on the big flashy body kit look but it looks good man, I would go with a different set of mirrors and she deffinatly needs a drop… looks like its time to have someone come grade or pave that driveway of yours

taking a second look, some thin mouldings would set it off

other than one pieces, a drop, and oem mirrors…its not too bad

thanks

I actually had no intention of installing the aftermarket m3 mirrors but the paint peeled on the factory mirrors when we painted them so i held off on them until i paint the factory wing. It was kinda lucky that i had the crappy m3s so i could slam them on and drive the car for a while. When i bought them i thought they would look cool then i got them and was like wow those are pretty :gay: lol.

as for dropping the car, i had planned on slamming it right down back 8 years ago but i dunno now. It really needs it though to complete the look that is for sure.

I planned on buying one pieces back in the day and i still will but i am leaning a little towards the super clear ones on ebay. I really like how newer cars have headlights like this and i am trying to build a car that has a little bit of a modern twist to it. (go ahead and call me lame) ha ha. but its my car and i will do as i wish. :nana:

what do you mean by thin mouldings?

The JDM mouldings are much thinner than their US counterparts. They look SUPER clean. if you get them, paint them the color of the car. On an unrelated note, i got the last picture of your car in a text yesterday from my little cousin. you know Dustin? small world.

yea i remember when they first came out…only saw a few people that actually pulled it off nice. i think it looks out of place on these for teh simple fact of how old it is…it may look good though, but ill stick w/ the oem look on mine.

jdm moldings

I actually need to replace the moldings at some point any way because they got damaged sitting around for 8 years. They look ok from a distance for now after some light body work and painting but they do need replacement. Do any of you have a picture of them on the car? I did a google and couldnt find anything. pretty cool that you know dustin man, small world.
i have been thinking more about lowering the car. I think im going to go for it. The car doesnt ride too low even lowered as long as i dont get crazy with it.

And i still havent made up my mind on what one pieces i will get. I always loved the JDM style ones so i will probably go that route

scroll down a couple post in this thread. theres are some pictures of them on the car and one off the car.

personally I think you should leave them unpainted, but due to the fact the original bumpers and the black trim that goes with them are gone. painting them might be a better option in your case

If your looking for a quality piece that wont fall apart on you with a years time. I recommend a set of OEM 1 pieces!

i love blue das and the bumper aint that bad i kinda like it is it the old wingswest??

sure is an old wings west kit. I bought it directly from wings west in 2002

HOT DAMN! those do look great! thanks for the info man! after being away from G2IC for so many years i have no idea whats out there. Unfortunately i don’t have the hours to spend on the site looking for these things like i did 8 years ago either lol. i dont know if i will paint them the same color as the car though because i like the black, i think it sets off the car a little. I love how the black moldings around the glass look against the blue so i feel it just flows with the car leaving them black. They however also would look great painted so its a tough call.

I appreciate the tips and ideas guys. Keep them coming. and about the OEM one pieces, They are what i was always planning on buying any way so i should go with my gut feeling on them. And like you said they will out last the crappy ebay ones any way!

some pictures of the work.
