Does anyone have a clue why my reverse lights stay on while im driving, because i sure dont.
MM&Y of car would help.
Also need to know if its an automatic or a standard transmission.
On G2 automatics the problem is probably the “A/T GEAR POSITION SWITCH” bolted to the side of the shifter.
Remove console and unplug switch, if light goes out you need a new switch.
On G2 standard transmissions its probably the “BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH” mounted into the side of the transmission, pass. side, access from below.
unplug it if light goes out, you need a new switch.
If backup lights do not go out when either switch is unplugged then there is a short between the back-up light lead, [green/black] and a 12V+ switched lead.:whisper:94
