Cool find
haha i dont know what car he was driving but i always thought the DAs had horrible road noise especially on the highway.
They probably were quite when they were new and not taken apart and abused after so many years lol
hahaha very cool!
I don’t know about you but my 91 LS is pretty much very quiet when on the freeway… no complaints here…
+1 my 92 GS is pretty quiet on the highway as well. Good find though I enjoyed reading that
You also got to look at the point that he was talking about a bone stock integra when it first came out. My friend has a bone stock 91 and that thing being 18 years old was not quiet on the freeway at all.
hmm it could be my tires…noisy POS.
but even in the 90s when i was small and rode in my uncle’s DA i thought it was loud. oh wells.
Could just be the type of tire tread.
I remember there being a tread on here like a year ago filled with honda brochures scanned into pictures. I know the thread died out but i hope its not lost. i’d like to say redline9500 posted some up before but not 100% sure since its not on his record.
Neither of my past DB1’s were quiet… Even in stock forum.
I couldn’t help but read that and think cars have come a long way.
g2’s were ahead of its time.
They still are to this day if you think about it. More and more people are bringing them back from the grave and fixing them up to perform and out perform modern sport cars.
A friend of mine bought a brand new GS back in 1990, I rode in his regularly and loved it…I was the one that encouraged him to get it, I later bought a brand new LS in 1992. I have a different 1992 LS now, and I can say for sure, even though I’ve done a lot to restore the current LS…after 18-20 years, the cars just aren’t anything like they were when they were brand new.
I still clearly remember how solid and quiet the car was, zero rattles, firm seats, doors opened and closed solid…everything was great back then. You could probably compare it to getting in a brand new Scion TC or something today, everything just felt new (as you’d expect).
You know this article is old, the ABS still works…
