RHD conversion

have that friend ride in the passenger’s seat when you go to fast food restaurants

No it will not increase the value at dealers.

Yes, it will increase the street value.

In the 25 years it will take you to do the conversion, the car will be worth -2300 dollars and 24 cents.

I doubt that the street value would even go up. At least not as much as the conversion would cost. Plus, what are your goals for the car? For a show car(trailer) it might be cool, but I wouldn’t feel safe driving it around.

you should convert it to center hand drive. that way you can toss a v12 from a bmw 850ci in the back, convert it to RWD, and you’ve got an mclarenF1LSVTEC.

In that case… and ONLY in that case, would it be JDM to rig a uniwiper

actually, to be 100% accurate, the uniwiper would be originally EDM.

:stfu: mark

“your testicle is in grave danger”

Well I have these experience under my belt as of now.

i’m all about goofin around late at night. just ask jean. :stuck_out_tongue:

HEH… I expected the worse comments. Because of my past history.

But however I did purchase the front clip already early this morning. The front clip will be deliver to my home next week on Monday. Pretty much I get all the stuff from the shifter center console to the rare oem 89-90(90-91) front air dam.

Sweet. Take pics of the progress.

wait…since when is this rare?

Isnt rhd illegal in the states? or dont you have to have certain stuff reinforced, or done to your car to make it legal?!?

no it isnt illegal.

XcLuSiVTRM: What ElBorintegra said. RHD isn’t illegal. You can register the car. If it was illegal then why do we have R34 Nissan Skylines over here.

G2sleeperstyle: The fatory OEM front air dam I’m talking about is the one from Japan. Not from United States.

I thought you had to do certain stuff to the cars to make them legal tho… guess not thats sweet

Here is my RHD DA9 project…

http://www.teamg2r.com/g2rmotors.asp

you do, if it’s imported from another country. RHD in and of itself does not denote an illegal vehicle. it’s other factors (speedometer, reflectors/turn signals, 5mph bumper, etc).

Armed Ferret: I agree with the Ferret power.

G24DR: It reminds me of taking apart that 95 Integra 4dr (chassis code: DB8) and converting it to RHD. Much props for anybody doing RHD conversion. Which way you did it?

Drain All Fluids - 10-to-15mins
Strip Interior Pieces 1hr-to-2hr
Remove windshield - 30mins-to-1hr
Remove Intake Manifold and accessories behind the engine - 1hr-to-2hr Remove white caulking glue + drilling spot welds - 30min-to-1hr or maybe even more.

Or

Drain All Fluids - 10-to-15mins
Strip Interior Pieces 1hr-to-2hr
Remove windshield - 30mins-to-1hr
Pull out the motor - 1hr-to-2hr
Strip entire front-end - 30min-to-1hr
Use the Jaws of Life saw… cut the firewall within 5-10 minutes. Weld on the JDM one.

If you do this for a living. Then it’ll be 1hr 30mins top. 2hr if you run into any snags.
