right side speakers won't work?

when i boughtkl my car the right rear speaker was in and out and the right front didn’t work. so i decided i would put the rear speaker in the front and now i can get either front or back rightsides to work. wth?

Probably blown speakers, you need to pull them and check them, if the speaker(s) are good then it’s the HUs outputs or wiring.
What is the make and model of the HU, or is it stock? 94

On most DA’s I’ve seen… the problem is the stupid factory HU wiring harness… it doesn’t fit snug into the connectors so when you turn or go over a bump… the speakers cut in and out… it’s annoying…

That is a possibility, a wiring problem, that can be cured by unplugging the door harness plug from the chassis connector spraying both with contact cleaner and applying dielectric grease and reconnecting.
The problem of poor plug connection would not account for the rear right speaker not working.

Another problem with the stock Honda HUs is, cold solder connections of the radios chassis plug, but then we still do not know if it is a stock or aftermarket HU. 94

i had the same problem. was the stock radio

x2. Doesnt fit in the back of the hu right, i guess after all of the years of bumps and turns it worked its way loose. aftermarket harness with aftermarket hu and it sounds wonderful.

I had the same problem with the stock headunit, hitting bumps would turn the right speakers on and off.

yea me 3 on the stock hu. the speakers work just fine. i tested them on the left side. i think it’s the wiring harness because like dude up there said it doesn’t fit right. before removing the right rear speaker to troubleshoot i could wiggle the hu and in certain positions it would work, others no work.

If it is cold solder joints at the chassis plugs connections to the circuit board, it is an easy fix if you know how to solder, in fact it’s an easy fix if you know how to heat up solder to it’s melting point, and the fix can be done with a $5 soldering pencil and a little 60/40 resin core.

But then again, this would be a perfect time to replace that defective OEM HU with something better.:whisper: 94
