thats an awesome writeup. one question though… how is the putty holding up?? in general that spot putty sucks ass for bodywork. did you consider using a 2 part finishing putty?? just wondering if you had tried it as well and had different results?
The putty has held up PERFECTLY (this is his bro btw). I’d reccomend using it if you want. You could also use something like JBWeld if you wanted. Those rims have gone through 2 tire mountings, countlless hours on the road, hard acceleration, hard cornering and they’re absolutly flawless…
If you’ve got deep cuts in your rims (to the point where it’s impairing the structural integrity of the rim) then obviously using putty wouldn’t be a good idea. This is meant for minor scruffs and curbage… I’d take it to a rim repair place if they’re that bad.
