rollinmyda's build thread

So the rest of my brake parts came in. I plan to make all my lines tonight. I’ll create a breakdown of parts if anyone is interested in doing it for themselves, just let me know and I’ll share them. Basically though I’ll be using -3 AN fittings for the unions with the original rear lines and anywhere I pass through the firewall and I’ll be using OEM style m10 x 1 fittings for the proportioning valve, master cylinder and front flex lines.

After reading a lot about it, it seems that people prefer the fragola fittings over earls/etc so I ordered all fragola AN fittings from summit.

And I ordered the m10 x 1 fittings from brakeconnect.com

I had already received my 37* ridgid tool, and I have another 45* ridgid flaring tool but it isn’t capable of producing double flares so I bought the 345 dl series ridgid tool for the m10 fittings which need to be double lapped and it just arrived today.

And in other news… I ordered a 92 jdm nosecut

I would like the info for the brake lines.

Ok here are the fragola part #s for the stuff I used from summit. Keep in mind that if you don’t plan to use the OEM style m10 x 1 fittings then you’ll also need the AN adapters for those. I don’t know the part #s for those since I’m not using them but should be easy to find.

Fragola -3 steel tube sleeve - FRA-581903

Fragola -3 steel tube nut - FRA-581803

Fragola 90* -3 steel bulkhead fitting - FRA-583303

Fragola -3 steel straight bulkhead fitting - FRA-583203

Fragola -3 steel bulkhead nut - FRA-592403

Fragola -3 steel male/male union - FRA-581503

And here’s the place I got the metric fittings if you chose to go the same route as I did. I have to say, I’m very happy with the quality of them.

Hell yes! Good looking out on the parts list. I’ll have to keep that info in the ‘just in case’ folder.

Definitely in for seeing how you decide to go about it all.

 When this car comes out, it will make mines look ugly. :frowning:

those fittings looks great.

^ lol I doubt it but hopefully it will be as nice as I envision.

I’ll post up some pics I took while making up lines. I didn’t finish, I still have to make the lines from the prop valve to firewall and firewall to master cylinder but all the lines to the wheels are done.

Looks good as always in for more up dates

Looking Great!

Thanks guys!

Looks great, going to come back to this thread when i do the brake tuck on my silver da

Mike’s been workin lol good to see your update its coming along pretty good.

Looks great. Would like to know as much as you do. Gotto start from the bottom :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! Any questions I could help with don’t hesitate to ask.

Trying! There’s not enough time to go around but slowly but surely

Thank Some of this stuff I’m learning as I go but none of it is really that difficult as long as you have patience to do research and work carefully.

My jdm nosecut arrived today… Unfortunately the hood and bumper cover were damaged in transit so now I’ll be dealing with claims to try to get replacements/partial refund. Sigh

WHATTTT? You got a jdm front? ANOTHER SET of one pieces? haha what are you plans for that man? Sorry haven’t read the last couple pages of the thread if you said what your plans were

Damn that sucks man. I’d be sooo bummed. Hope it all works out and you can get the money back or something

My thoughts exactly. I believe I actually said that exact thing when he dropped the lift gate…

Yep, jdm front. One of my main reasons for buying the complete nosecut was that I could sell the one pieces to recoup some of my money and then use most of it on the car. So theyll be listed up soon. I recently bought a jdm 92 bumper support off here and it arrived damaged (but that was obviously shipped damaged since its rusted at the bend) so I really wanted the bumper/support/fenders/hood for the DA. Still waiting on Paypal dispute for the first support…

Yeah, I’m pretty bummed. I was super excited until I actually saw the parts. I called the company I bought it from immediately (before accepting the delivery) and they assured me they had replacements in stock and would make it right so I took their advice and accepted delivery. If they refuse to make it right though I’ll be going through another PayPal claim.

Damn, I would of recorded that phone call and have proof that they told you to take it and that they would fix it

Holy crap man, that sucks. I sure hope they do take care of it and make it right without to much trouble. Another set of 1 pieces, I could only hope…

Damn…

Hopefully they get you sorted out properly man. Dealing with claims sucks!
