Rotor wear

Recently I noticed a slight braking performance decrease, and sometimes I hear whistles\squeeks when I brake slowly, say downhill, going 2.5ish mph.

The front pads still got 6-7mm, the rear ones are closer to 3-4mm.

I took some pictures of how the rotors are currently being worn down, tell me if this is proper, especially the rear ones.

Since it may a little tough to perceive dimension in those flash-filled shots:

It seems to me that especially on the front rotors aren’t worn on their whole surface, a few millimenters on the edge are untouched, which means the pads are touching down closer to the center, which is fine.

The rear though is a little tricky, it is almost as if that untouched edge is now being grinded down, almost the scenario i imagine if I was to replace the pads and not file rotors.

Please help.

yea the rear rotors arent lookin to good there buddy. i can see some major ridges… also if they squeak then use some high grid sandpaper and sand off the glazing on the rotor…
yea the rear rotors arent lookin to good there buddy. i can see some major ridges… also if they squeak then use some high grid sandpaper and sand off the glazing on the rotor…
That’s the outter edge, right? Makes sense you should refer to it with ‘glazing’.

Thanks for that.
