Ok, I really wish there was a “stupid questions forum”, because this one is pretty dumb, and quite honestly, I don’t know where to ask it.

How do I tell if I have an RS / LS / GS? I have read that you have to check the VIN, and all I have seen that relates to what I know about tegs is DB1 (in the vin).

It is a 4 door, I have manual locks/ windows, no sunroof, no cruise, no ABS, no VTEC. This makes me think RS. Am I right in thinking this?

I am going to compile as much info as I can, and make a guide, because I cant seem to find one anywhere.

Here’s the basics:
RS- manual everything.
LS- power windows, sunroof.
GS- power locks and windows, sunroof, GS spoiler, ABS.
GSR- power locks and windows, sunroof, GSR spoiler, ABS, VTec, Shorter gears.

Correct me if I’m incorrect or missing stuff.

off topic, but does anyone know if there are any chassis differences between an RS and a GS-R

technically the only difference is that there is no sunroof on the rs. every thing else on the gsr is compatible with any other da chassis. for example you can put the power locks and windows, GSR spoiler, ABS, VTec, Shorter gears on the rs. but there will be no sunroof.

I was thinking more along the lines of chassis reinforcements or weight reductions in specific areas.

Do you know if there are any additional chassis reinforcements?
