im looking for an exhaust and i live here in seattle. i was wondering if anyone gotten pulled over by a cop with the rs-r exhaust yett. i’ve heard the rs-r exhaust are cop magnets. which is a better one to get? how do you like the exhaust? between the two which one is quieter or are they the same? anything would be appreciated.

I don’t believe the ex-mag is sold for the DA any more.
Yup I got it and have never been pulled over for it. I will be in tacoma this friday night if you want to meet me at the KK and go for a ride, but I will only come by there around 9pm before I go out meet other wise I am going out drinkin. The weekend after the 4th I will be in the seattle area but also for drinkin, but can meet you before I start crackin them. :rockon:

they sell the gt2 also thats what im getting soon but used for cheaper. Japanjay does it really sound that good, i hope it does because i been wanting nice sounding exhaust for ever now.
I love it. A couple of my frinds that have evo’s like it too, but it all in what you want. I like my car to have no rasp at all, sound awsome at WOT, slanted end to it, stainless, least amount as bends as possible, quiet at idle and at low rpms’s. I choose this one because of the lack of bends, slanted tip, stainless, and made by RS*R. Once I got it, to me it sounds as good as it looks.
It is really hard to describe the sound but to me it is perfect.

Oh-yeah, the GTII takes 2 people at the minimum to install. The springs that hold the section that slips together is a MAJOR PITA to hook in and there is 4 of them.
I’ll be damned they still sell the ex-mag. Guess I know what T next buy is.

The GT-II is kinda fart can sounding. I installed it on my 95 civic w/ a d16 & automactic trans and its still loud as 'EF. Ive got the stock cat on there with the only other bolt on being a CAI. The car is far to loud
Yeah it is a major PITA. I did it and have the pics to prove it is on my car. It took me and another guy pullin on each spring to get them stretched and seated in the holes and that includes the car being up on a lift. Oh wait I am just saying that to make you think that it is hard to install. Also you have a d16 and an auto trans so no wonder it sounds like that. LOL.
yep they started making them again a while ago…except now in full stainless steel, not painted black like before.
Stainless is a big plus.
However I’d paint it black anyhow. Less of a heat score.
The ExMag makes a DA sound fairly similar to the Infiniti g35… My buddy has a G35 and he told me when I flew past him that it sounded really close to his car… The Rsr that’s a cannister will have a ricey sound, as well as much louder. The Exmag also looks stock to Non-car people. It isn’t flashy looking at all. I loved the sound but despised the look, so I replaced it with an Hks Hipower. I’d suggest you take a look at the Hks sometime.
^^ yess i have looked at it already. how many of you guys like the hks hipower compared to the gtII?
I am the only person on here to my knowledge that has it on this site. Depends on what you want. More gains will be had with the rs*r due to no bends, both sound almost identical. And the cans look a little different. Thats it.
i have the ex-mag and i love it so much the throttle response with it is amazing and its not loud and annoying like most exhausts it is well worth the money and since i put that exhaust on i havent been pulled over yet becaue i use to have one of the coffee can exhausts which got annoying as hell and would get pulled over every damn day so the ex-mag is a great exhaust in my opinion
