i bought a steering wheel and im flat broke…SOOoooo, i made my own little adapter doohikee. i was wondering, in your guys’ opinion, how safe does it seem to you? I made it out of a polyurethane cutting board. Its really stiff, yet flexibly durable when it needs to be. its about half an inch thick.
The holes are to go from the 3 hole(grant installation kit that goes on the splines)to a 5 hole(for my extension). FYI, its a little rough around the edges and i DID clean it up
oh, and to add, NOTHING is threaded into the plastic, only bolted to it. the order is grant installation kit, big center bolt to bolt it to the spliny part as well as the 3 bolts that hold it to the installation kit, then the extension is fixed to my homemade adapter via 5 screws, then its the wheel which is a 5 hole patten on top of that. also, does anyone know a way to wire up the horn and make it work?..just wanted to make sure there was enough info. I’ll try to post pictures of it on the car the way it is tomorrow.
IMO i would never drive down the road with that thing deciding my fate. how about keeping the steering wheel in your room for some motivation so u can get some cash to hook that thing up right

ask yourself why most hub adapters are made of metal. I’ve leaving it at that and again I’ll state the obvious, if you have to ask “do you think this is safe?” then it most likely isnt.
