Sanding hood

I was told that sanding a hood will cause holes in the hood? is this even true?

i plan to take 320grit with an orbital grinder and smooth it out so i can primer and base/clear coat it.

Is it an OEM or carbon hood?

Its very unlikely that you will sand a whole through your hood, you should be fine. If you’re going to use the orbital grinder then use it on the lowest setting to avoid any problems.

You should use a da (dual action) sander
