anyone else here heard the slogan “you got the “A” you gotta pay”? next time you need a part, get the part number from acura. then call your local honda dealer and buy it from them. you can’t do this with all parts, but many you can. the civic si has many of the same parts and this saves about 10% a part from what i’ve seen. as long as the part number is the same, the item will work.

I ran into a similar problem with the Honda Dealer. The first time I went in to get parts for my teg they claimed they couldnt get acura parts. I explained its all the same but they insisted they couldn’t order anything needed for my teg. From now on I just give the specific part # i’m looking for and they get it with no problem…

The reason why they told you we cant order Acura parts is because the computers cant search for Acura parts or display them. The only way you can get acura parts through Honda is to get the part number and order it that way. I have done that with many parts that arent the same as civics or whatnot and it as worked. I just use a parts manual I’ve downloaded to my comp a while back and give them my needed part #'s.
