Saving the DB1

they arent open on sundays lol, im gonna call again tommorow

today just cleaned the garage and dropped some parts off at my shop, had my little boy help clean with me and he fixed my tires lol hes such a little mechanic

coming along nicely.

thanks bud

just got off the phone with Innovative, gotta go out to the shop and take a Picture of how off the mount is so they can send me the right one, so i hope to get this taken care of by end of the week gonna finish up the Bay and do the oil pan, and finish prepping the front end and get it going

so took the pics of the mounts and sent them, then spent all day getting a busy signal and then when i finaly get ahold of them again all the sales reps are out for the day… calling back tomorow hope i can get this fixed…

here are some pics, ive tryed so much to align it just doesnt wanna go

I had the same problem with my 91 integra. i bought the polished version of the mounts and they didnt line up like that. So I grabbed a big pry bar, my father, brother and friend and we all lined them up. It was a bitch but it worked. Not sure if that helps lik I said I have a 91 integra and bought the 90-91 integra polished mounts. I think you said you bought the 92-93 right?

tryed im gonna wait and see what they say tomorow if i need to try forcing it again i guess il have to just hope everything works out. i dunno if id like the idea of a loaded mount, what will happen if i pull the motor later down the road yah know

yea i hear you. I dont think mine was way off like that either. I was doint it by myself and im pretty small lol so I needed a couple of extra people. Good luck tho.

yeah im not a small guy and i had my budy jose pry and i tryed threading it in didnt work out to great lol

so i called inno today and they said its the right mount and he can tell from the pics i sent, and if i wanted to send it back and get a diff one id have to pay to send it back then wait for them to send me a new one they said i should loosen the other mounts and try again…

so i gonna try again tonight hope it all works

didnt get the mounts done today didnt have a second pair of hands so figured id get the cables connected to the pedals… the clutch cable is to short i hooked it to the pedal inside and there was no slack in the line to even adjust it, is there a difference between the 92-93 cables to 90-91 mine was messed up so pulled the one off the 90 parts DA

painted my bat tray and support. the mounting bolts were rusty as Fk so i blasted them very clean now

I had that same problem with the motor mount i had to muscle that suka in gl

lol yeah i had to muscle it in with my buddy cody AKA Big C guess i was just being to big of a Nancy boy the first time haha

so i got alot done today first i didnt like the way the powersteering mounts looked and it was an excuse to use my sandblaster forgot to take pics of them blasted painted with High Temp semi gloss black
befor

after

installed

sanded the bumper primed and painted it semi gloss black

Primed the lip gonna paint and hopefully install it tomorow

Had to paint some bolts so they matched and werent rusty lol

Also swapped out oil pans this one was leaky and FKD

the old plugs out of the motor swapped them with the NGKs i put in my A1 befor i crashed

then the side moldings were lookin a little rough so i messed around with them for a little gonna do a better job later

gonna mount the bumper and see how everything lines up i just need headlights a clutch cable and a battery and belts lol cant forget belts

wtf man, thats has to be the worst oil pan ive ever seen:giggle:

Loving the progress, keep it up:up:

thanks bud, im getting excited hope i get to drive it soon do you know if there is a difference between clutch cables from 90-91 to 92-93?? i think i might start it tomorow

Your progress makes me not wanna sell my DA, which I don’t think I will anymore

yeah i like your da, you should keep it and work on it on the side, i have my da i plan to rebuild a gsr or b16 for it later and set it up for auto-x just hit the 35k mark on my lsv i built a little over 2 years ago lol

Yeah I think that’s what I’ll do. I drove it today for the first time in a whilee and knew if I sold it I’m gonna miss it.
Drop in a B17, that would be siqqqq. I hear auto-x is mad fun. I plan to do that with the DA once its all set

i have the innovative steel mounts also for my 91 teg and they all dropped right in. the only one i had to pry a little was the front mount since they obviously wont all align perfectly but i was very impressed with how well they aligned. nice build btw!

yeah the mount were a little tough but we got it done, now just gotta get some belts, pcv hose, battery and headlights, and figure out my clutch situation
