On your integras, it seems like the seats lean back somewhat, EVEN when tilted all the way forward(not the forward you use to let people in the back). is there a way to allow the seat to lean more forward? i drive really spirited in the mountains and anyone else who drives this way know that its more comfortable to be “up on the wheel”.
anyone?
Since my gf is kinda short, I took the drivers seat out, removed the slide rails and fabbed two one inch round blocks for the rear mount holes. You’ll, of course, need longer bolts to reattach the slide rails and this will only lift the seat up in the back but will also re-orient the seat back forward. If you don’t mind the lift, this might be easier than breaking into the recline mechanism. Lastly, you could check the feasability of changing the front seats out with another type that does rest further upright but, then you’re into the auto/manual seat belt thing. HTH.
i have noticed that as well. i have a momo bucket seat in one of my tegs and the stock seats in my stock teg. i used to think the stock seat was pretty straight up but after sitting in my bucket seat i realized its still pretty reclined. sometimes when i drive my stock teg i make sure the seat is all the way up.
thanks alot for the input guys. really appreciate it. i think im going to tear into the mechanism sometime this week just to see how it operates and check out my options. i want it to be safe though. A seat that flies down into the laying position on a turn entry on calaveras is REALLY bad.
