I just bought a 92 da9 GS and I’m having an issue with my passenger side power seatbelt. The passenger side belt won’t retract and the door chime keeps going off. I swapped the door switch and still have the issue. Is there anything I’m missing?
just take it to the dealership, they will fix it for free. tell them you talked to customer relations and they said it would be covered under warranty. If they deny, call customer relations and complain until you get your way. P.S. don’t tell them you have messed with it already.
If there isn’t anything else I can do I might have to. The car isn’t tagged yet so I was trying to fix everything before it was inspected and tagged.
the seatbelts are warrantied for the usable life of the car.
the advice to not tell them you messed with the belts is good advice, take it. its one less thing that they can use to deny you.
theyll most likely replace almost all of the seatbelt, at least they did with mine.
i had the same exact problem, took it to the dealership and all they did was pull it all the way back to where it usually goes when the door is shut or whatever and that should solve it. the guy told me that power got lost on its way to the seat belt and just needed to be pulled all the way back to reset. give it a try and if it doesnt work, then take it to the dealership. just incase you give a try, remember to have the door shut and the car turned off.
