for some strange reason my seat belts stopped working and the control box on the lower pass side keeps beeping and wont shut up unless i unplug it
anybody had this problem and knows what to do?
take it to acura . i belive they still have a warrenty on the seat belt system . i could be wrong cause i removed mine completely so havnt really been paying attention to the recall list lately .
Lifetime warrenty. theres been plenty of talk about it on here
cool thanks
even tho i dont have the stock front seats? cuz i got 04 si seats
they wont care jus take it in easy transaction… just dont mess with anything that would make it harder for them
I wouldnt say that, in that case the car has been modifed and that might be cause to deny any work.
I would find a set of stock seat for cheap put them in and then take it to the dealer
hey just came back from the dealer and they told me that the only thing with the seat belts they cover is if it doesnt lock when it gets that hard jerk as if u were in an accident so now i still dont know what to do about my beeping/non-working seatbelts
as far as I understand it covers the entire restraint system.
have you read this thread yet.

maybe you should call acuras customer relations and see what they say.
they said they only cover the seat belt its self if it doesnt lock in the case of an accident
trust me i went and found out myself
what do you mean by you went and found out yourself?
Ill ask again, did you read the thread I posted? if you did you would see that lots of people have had that same problem of the dealer saying it wasnt covered.
its your car man, im just trying to help:shrug:
yea i read the thread and i did see people had problems now whats your point? have you ever went to the dealer for same problem as me?
when i said i went and found out i mean i went to 2 local dealers with my car and found out that the only cover the seat belt its self nothing electrical or anything else
Other people have had similar problems with dealerships not wanting to do the work for free, but once they argue their point to the right person they usually end up getting it all done. Its all covered by the warranty, they’re just trying to get out of the labor.

I’ve had a friend just recently go into the dealer for his 91LS. They fixed it no problem and/or questions. Call Acura Customer Relations, and they will talk to the dealership for you. It’s covered man. I have an original warranty book (separate from the owner’s manual) and it definitely states the entire system.

i love it when people get in a tizzy about other people trying to help them out.
hes telling you that you need to talk to someone who isnt going to have to spend time or money on fixing your car because of warranty work that they have to pay for.
dont get offended when someone tells you something they know as fact. doesnt matter how much you investigated, someone has always lived through the event before and is willing to share the information so that others can avoid problems. this is a great example.
so, call acura, get it in writing and head down to the stealership.
even if the car doesnt have a clean title? becus on my 94 integra they wont touch it becus of a dirty title…
“for the useful life of the car” is the terminology that acura uses in the warranty paperwork for our DAs, i havent read any other honda warranty paperwork so your DC2 could be different (i doubt it)
did you call acura (not the local dealership, the american corporation) and ask them? local dealerships rip you off left and right, what makes you think theyll do free work if they can weasel out of it and get away with it?
