How hard is it to do? I want to extend my passenger seat since everyone is over 6 ft tall. Should I just go to a fan shop and ask.
Sounds like allot of customization. Unless this is a show car, idk that I would want to tackle it. And i’m 6’2.
That being said if I were dead set on doing it I would find a sacrificial set of rails. Cut yours in the middle, cut out the length you want to add from the spare rails. Weld, chip, grind, grind, GRIND. Relocate the rear rail bolt locations (drill, weld, paint). I’m sure there’s some other challenges to overcome. The other issue is in the event of an accident, you might find your passenger folded up where they weren’t intended to be.
