My passenger seatbelt has been stick in the retracted position so I changed the track it slides on with the motor for it included. the buckle was at the farthest point from the seat like if you are going to sit down as soon as I plugged it In, the buckle retracted to the closed door position like in the previous track and won’t move when the door opens …does anyone have any idea wut might b causing this I would like my seat belt to open when the door is open like it should please lemme know if there is anything I should check…
Are you saying it doesn’t move or retract at all? Or is it intermetent? Check the fuse or check the seat belt control module to see if its plugged in. Its located on the passenger side kick panel. Remove the panel and there you will see a dull silver box with plugs underneath it. See if thats plugged in. Highly unlikely that It will be disconnected but check anyway.
If that doesn’t help any, hope you know that acura should fix it for free. Its a recall. Look couple of threads below you about “lifetime seatbelt warranty” There are stories of dealers that give people a hard time and some how get it fixed fast. My story about that is in the failure catagory.

I installed a whole new track for the seatbelt and also replaced the control module . I’m wondering what sends the signal to the module that the door is open or shut . If its the switch under the latch prong in the door jam I lubricated it and it is reading on the dash now. But still doesn’t move the seatbelt when I shut the door and open it …any other ideas anyone?
i know ive been having trouble with mine and i messed with the switches in the door by unscrewing the 3 bolts that hold them in just a little. my driver one was out for a while when it got cold, so i just pulled the fuse and retracted it manually and now i put the fuse back and unplugged and plugged the motor back in and it works now. my passenger side one works opposite my driver, meaning it works fine when its cold and goes haywire when hot out. i hate these things. we spend all this time and money trying to fix them when they never should have been used in cars at all to begin with.
