My automatic seatbelt on driver side didnt work now its blinking and beeping and wont stop, and the fuse box doesnt mention anything abut a fuse for it …how can i just unplug them? i tried under the seat but it didnt help…somebody please help…
Passenger side footwell under the dash. There’s a small plastic panel by where the passenger’s right foot would be, remove that and the seatbelt control module are behind there, you can just unplug it. All the beeping will stop, just make sure the car doors are shut when you unplug it cause the motors will no longer move the belts into place either.
and take it to the dealer to have them fix it. should be covered by warranty no matter how old the car is. and if they say no, keep nagging them.
Yea i seen that earlier but i thought that was the computer…and the beep comes out of there…
i have this same problem and the lap belts wont click in either so im basicaly driving around without seatbelts and an anoying beep but im gonna unplug the control unit right now so i can at least drive without going insane. my nearest acura dealer is about 3 hours away. is it worth it to drop it off at the dealer and wait for them to fix the seat belts or should i just leave it and hope i dont get pulled over. or do you think a honda dealer would uphold the warrenty?
i dont think honda would u have to go to acura…but the unit wer talking about by passenger side…that where the beep is comming from…thats not the ecu? where is the ecu then? i always thought thats what it was…somebody take pic please?
Ecu is under a METAL plate and is right in front of the passenger’s feet (passenger actually places their feet ON the ecu cover).
The seatbelt control unit is to the side, covered by a black plastic panel near by where the passenger’s right foot would be. Basically the same area as where the fuse box and hood release are on the driver side.
well with mine there is no black panel i just move the one that covers it from outside and i see it there…would the seatbelt beeping come out of it…because if it does then thats it.
Maybe I shouldn’t have said black… cause that will depend on your interior color. So, Black, Blue, Tan or Brown panel, that make sense now? There’s ONLY ONE panel DIRECTLY TO THE RIGHT of where the passenger’s right foot would be. This isn’t rocket science. Or maybe you have a 4dr and that panel is different?
Here’s a pic of what the panel looks like (mentally rotate photo 90deg clockwise, then go sit in the passenger seat of your car and find the only panel RIGHT NEXT to your right foot which looks like this panel)
(btw, see the little “vent” holes? That’s so the beeping sound isn’t as muffled…)
ight damn all you had to say that yes the beeping noise comes out of it, i already found it and unplugged it, thanx
If you want to get them to work properly you can take it to the dealer and have them fix it for free. Same thing happened to me when I first had mine; seatbelts are covered under a lifetime warranty in most cases.
I heard that, but i need to get the panel for my new door so it looks better when i take it to the dealer, plus i think i know whats wrong with them, i will try to fix it this weekend, but 1st i have to get my alternator fixed 1st. thanx.
I live 2.5 hours from the nearest Acura dealership and my driver’s side seatbelt buckle plastic cracked and fell into the seat. (Part of that recall on Honda/Acura seatbelts with red plactic made by Takata.) I called the Acura dealership and told them I didn’t want to drive 2.5 hours with no seatbelt and they sent the replacement part to the Honda dealership in my town and just had Honda charge them for the labor. They went above and beyond but I don’t know if every Acura dealership would do this or not. Worth a try.
You never know but i heard their dicks in most places.
You never know but i heard their dicks in most places.
Ya h’erd? Foh sho?
Because the one in my town is crazy nice and they are always polite and treat everyone great.
then your lucky because honda in my town bitches because they dont have parts for my car and Acura bitches too because the say the car is old, i getting it on a web now.
That was what, two sentences? I’m done.
Unplug the bright green connector and then manually row your seatbelts back for now. My pass. side one will go forward but not back so I just left it unplugged. I hate automatic seatbelts and I dont feel its worth messing with the dealer and then having them work and hating them even more lol
What bright green connector??
LOL you can’t miss it…did you take off the plastic piece first?
